STAFF DISCIPLINE

 

 

The superintendent shall enforce the regulations that promulgate teacher discipline in accordance with federal law and regulations, state law and regulations, state board of education regulations and school board policy.

 

The superintendent, or his designee, may exercise a range of disciplinary options including, but not limited to:  an informal (oral) warning, a written reprimand, a performance plan (need for improvement), demotion, probation, suspension and dismissal in accordance with state law and local school board policies.  Such discipline by the superintendent or his designee shall be imposed based on the severity and frequency of the misconduct or violation of accepted practice in the performance of assigned duty.
