TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

 

 

          Buena Vista City Public Schools provides teachers and administrators with tuition assistance for college-level courses in order to increase knowledge, proficiency, and the ability to contribute to the achievement of division goals and instructional requirements.  It is the expectation of the School Board that courses taken by teachers and administrators will meet Virginia Department of Education recertification requirements, enable teachers to become “highly qualified” in one or more content areas, or be part of an advanced degree program approved by the division superintendent and contributing to educational content knowledge and educational leadership.
