The Buena Vista City School Board values the administrative leadership of the Superintendent and the school principals within the Buena Vista School District.  The Board also encourages the Superintendent and principals to participate in one or more organizations or activities outside of the school that seeks to enhance the overall quality of life of Buena Vista’s citizens.  These include – but are not limited to – civic, religious, cultural, and recreational organizations and activities.  To this end, the Superintendent shall establish residence in the city of Buena Vista within six months of the effective date of his or her employment by the School Board.  Principals and assistants are encouraged to reside in Buena Vista.
